The collection of harmonised high‐quality food consumption data across Europe is essential for reliable dietary exposure assessment and evidence‐based public health policy. The SMART EU Menu project aims to support the modernisation and harmonisation of future EU Menu dietary surveys (EU Menu 2) through methodological developments in three key areas: FoodEx2 food classification and coding, Food Propensity Questionnaire (FPQ), and dietary assessment tools and protocols.
