EU food labeling rules for exporters
A food label for the European Union and the UK needs a nutrition declaration per 100 g / 100 ml, an ingredient list with allergens emphasised, and the mandatory particulars — in the destination language.
The nutrition declaration
The declaration is given per 100 g or 100 ml in an accepted layout. A per-portion column may be added.
Allergens and ingredients
Allergens are emphasised within the ingredient list — typically in bold — rather than in a separate 'contains' line.
Mandatory particulars and language
Name, net quantity, durability date, storage, business operator and country of origin where required, in the language of the market you sell into.
