SMP Food call for proposals: Support to stakeholders in food waste prevention actions
HaDEA has published a call for proposals to support stakeholders in implementing food waste prevention actions in 2026-2027 . EU countries are required to meet food waste reduction targets by 2030 , as set out in the 2025 amendment of the Waste Framework Directive . Specifically, the aim is to reduce food waste at national level by 10% in processing and manufacturing, and by 30% (per capita) jointly in retail and consumption, including restaurants, food services and households.
